Volunteering

I have volunteered at Edmonton Immigration Services Association and I like it. I feel happy helping immigrants who just come to Canada. It is not easy to adapt to a new place; we all know this. I was in that situation three years ago. Especially children need some one who can help them to adapt to a new school, society, and city. That is why I decided to continue to work in EISA.

Stalin's regime.
In 1930s thousands of people suffered in USSR from Stalin's dictation. He had some kind of paranoia. During this period people could get capital punishment and being sent to the coldest parts of the county for nothing. This period was one of the hardest periods in history of the world's biggest country. One of the reasons why Soviet Army was defeated during the first two years in World War II was that Stalin had killed many talented generals.
My both parents suffered from Stalin's regime. They were sent to Kazakhstan and their homes and property were confiscated.

This is Municipality Building of Baku city where my Father Worked for more than twenty years. When I was a child, I wanted to see what inside in this building, but in Soviet period people were not allowed to enter into the building.

I think every one loves and misses the place where he or she was born.
The Caspian Sea is usually quiet as in this picture. I loved to walk along the shore with my family and friends.

The "Old City" is one of World Heritage Cities. It is located on the shore of Caspian Sea and surrounded by thick wall.

My home-city

BAKU- is the capital city of Azerbaijan. The city where I was born; the city I missed. Baku was established more than 900 years ago. It is beautiful as you can see from these pictures.
